Born in Northern California, Austin was raised with an appreciation of art. While exploring his identity, he dove into the local punk scene and eventually found himself drawn to tattoo culture. The world of tattooing grabbed his attention and never let go. Over the next several years, he’d found himself in and out of tattoo shops dozens of times.
Traveling the world in search of new interactions with people, places, flavors, communications, and inspiration brought Austin to live in Melbourne Australia as a teenager, later landing in San Francisco where he worked at Idle Hand for 8 years, and finally migrating south to Los Angeles where he opened his first tattoo studio, Enjoy Tattoos in late 2020. His explorations of Europe, Scandinavia, Africa had a great impact on him, and continue to influence his work today.
Austin is interested in keeping the tradition alive. He also believes that creativity, artistic fluidity, and inclusivity can lead to powerful collaborations. Drop me a line if you want to talk about a project, or just say hi.
